Harriers hammer 10-man Hereford - Kidderminster Harriers 3-0 Hereford United

Kiddy play at Aggborough in a midweek game against play-off contenders Hereford and this is their first home game since their famous FA Cup tie against West Ham which they cruelly lost 1-2. The fans were in good voice and the players were looking to reflect this on the pitch. Hereford needed a win since 3 points would see them leapfrog Kettering Town and dive into the play-off places.

The game began and Kiddy were on top as expected and two big chances went by in the first 20 minutes. In the 24th minute Hereford were reduced to 10 men after Amari Morgan Smith broke through and Krystian Pearce pulled him back as the last man and received a straight red card. It only took a few minutes for Kidderminster to break through. Sam Austing bagged the goal and what a goal it was. A ball whipped in from a corner and it landed to Austin who smashed it in. Amari Morgan Smith made it two after Austin squared it to him and he put it in the open net. Another came shortly after for Morgan Smith who controlled the ball from Penny and volleyed it past the keeper. This was all the goals and they came in 8 minutes. Kiddy remain in third but push away from AFC Fylde and are 4 points from

Gateshead and Brackley Town with a game in hand. Kiddy haven't lost a league game since they last played Hereford where they lost 2-0. Hereford missed out on a great opportunity to go into play-offs nut they remain ahead of Boston United.
